Our M1 has expanded performance range for nearly any dive scenario, recreational or technical and is Nitrox ready up to 80%. The first stage is chrome plated brass, is environmentally sealed, and also comes with the swiveling 5 port low pressure cap and 2 high pressure ports. The M1’s second stage features a surge protected front cover design, super wide exhaust deflector, and uses our engraved heat protecting jam nut for freeze prevention.
The M1 first stage is built almost entirely with stainless steel and Monel, an exceptionally robust and hard metal renowned for its corrosion resistance, making it perfect for use in both saltwater and chlorine environments.
Additionally, the use of monel enables this regulator to be nitrox 80% ready out of the box ideal for higher oxygen deco gas blends.
Internally the M1 utilises a high flow piston which is environmentally sealed to ensure zero ingress of saltwater which is usually one of the key issues with longevity of regulator performance.
The M1 second stage houses a fully balanced valve and lever that has a super smooth air delivery regardless of depth.
Like all Atomic second stages it also features the patented “AFC” Automatic Flow Control that eliminates the need for an external pre-dive switch and automatically adjusts with depth to ensure your regulator doesn’t free flow.
Another unique Atomic second stage patent is the “seat saving orifice” that allows for the seat to pull away from the sealing knife edge when not in use, significantly reducing the wear on this important component, and therefore increasing longevity of the regulator’s performance.
Why Monel?
The M1 employs state-of-the-art metals specifically chosen for extreme diving situations. Monel parts are used internally in the first stage for high strength, corrosion-resistance and oxygen compatibility. 316 Stainless Steel, multi-layer Zirconium coated Brass, and Titanium are used throughout the second stage. The M1 valve body is Zirconium/Nickel over Brass and the seat saving orifice is Stainless Steel.
